After graduating from Doshisha University and the University of York (United Kingdom) Graduate Research School, entered Sony Corporation in 1990 as a member of Sony founder and then chairman Akio Morita’s staff. Served in various positions in the Finance Department, So-net and VAIO operations before being appointed president of Sony Korea (in charge of consumer products). In 2010, entered Misumi Group Inc., serving as assistant to the president and division manager. In 2012, established Quantum Leaps Corporation Asia with Nobuyuki Idei and was appointed representative director. In January 2018, became executive officer, president and COO of Quantum Leaps Corporation. In April 2020, was appointed executive officer, president and co-CEO of Quantum Leaps Corporation. Has held his current position of representative director and president since June 2022.

After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1982, entered Sony Corporation. Served as representative director and president of Sony Europe Finance PLC before being appointed general manager of the CEO Strategy Office (for Nobuyuki Idei). Was in charge of brand management, general affairs, IR, corporate communications and CSR at Sony Corporation. In 2017, was appointed representative director and chairman of Frontage Inc., a joint venture of Sony Corporation and Dentsu Inc. In April 2020, became executive officer and vice chairman of Quantum Leaps Corporation. Has held his current position of representative director and vice chairman since June 2022.
